Existing position Schedule: Full-time As our next Automation Technician, you'll be at the forefront of supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation systems on the plant floor. Your hands-on expertise in PLCs, robotics, mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, system installation, and real-time production support will be essential to keeping automation cells running safely, efficiently, and reliably.

What You'll Be Doing: Installation & Maintenance &bull Assist in the installation and setup of automation systems and equipment. &bull Use power tools to perform mechanical and electrical installation tasks. &bull Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs to minimize downtime. Troubleshooting & Support &bull Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving electrical, mechanical, and robotic systems. &bull Provide immediate on-floor support to Production during system failures or alarms.

Operational Collaboration &bull Work closely with Production staff to ensure automation supports quality and production targets. &bull Coordinate with Controllers and Engineering on hardware/software updates. Safety & Compliance &bull Monitor system operations to ensure compliance with safety standards. &bull Conduct safety assessments and escalate any equipment-related risks.

Documentation &bull Maintain detailed maintenance and repair records. &bull Document incidents, breakdowns, corrective actions, and preventive measures.

What We're Looking For: &bull Associate degree/diploma in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience. &bull Minimum 1 year of experience working with automation in a manufacturing environment. &bull Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, robotics, sensors, and HMIs. &bull Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team. &bull Good communication skills for cross-department collaboration. &bull Ability to work on the plant floor with physical activity (walking, standing, lifting).

Bonus Points If You Have: &bull PLC Certifications (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Rockwell). &bull Certified Automation Technician (ISA). &bull Robotics Certifications (FANUC, ABB, KUKA). &bull Industrial Safety Certifications (e.g., OSHA training). &bull Training in HMI systems or industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
